State Dept. Recruits Muslim Foreign Service Officers at Jihadist Conf.

The Obama administration is covertly recruiting Muslims to work at the State Department as Foreign Service officers representing the United States in one of 265 American embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions worldwide.

It appears to be part of the administration’s Muslim outreach effort, which includes a variety of controversial moves. Among them Homeland Security meetings with extremist Islamic organizations, sending an America-bashing mosque leader (Feisal Abdul Rauf) who blames U.S. foreign policy for the 9/11 attacks on a Middle Eastern outreach mission and revamping the way federal agents are trained to combat terrorism by eliminating all materials that shed a negative light on Muslims. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton even signed a special order to allow the reentry of two radical Islamic academics whose terrorist ties long banned them from the U.S.

Now comes news of a secretive State Department campaign, discovered in the course of a Judicial Watch investigation, to add Muslims to its roster. Presumably, the new recruits will be deployed around the globe to help the agency fulfill its mission of promoting the country’s international relations. The campaign seems to be headed by Mark Ward, the Deputy Special Coordinator in the State Department’s Office of Middle East Transition.

Ward held a 90-minute seminar at a recent convention sponsored by two groups—Muslim American Society (MAS) and the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA)—with known ties to radical Islam. Both nonprofits are associated with the Muslim Brotherhood, which is known as the parent organization of Hamas and al Qaeda. In fact, the Investigative Project on Terrorism reports that MAS was founded as the U.S. chapter of the Muslim Brotherhood which strives to indoctrinate the world with Islamic Sharia law.

Yet there was a U.S. State Department official, side by side at a radical Islamic powwow in Chicago with a number of speakers who advocate violent jihad. Among them was Kifah Mustapha, a fundraiser at terrorist organization (Holy Land Foundation) convicted of funneling millions to Hamas and Jamal Badawi, a MAS founder who praised the jihad of Gaza terrorists during a speech titled “Understanding Jihad and Martyrdom.”

MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD INFILTRATION? 'IT'S OBAMA HIMSELF'

- WND

If lawmakers are serious about investigating whether or not Washington has been infiltrated by the Muslim Brotherhood, they need look no further than Barack Obama himself, charged talk-show host Mark Levin.

Levin noted the scorn congressional colleagues directed at Reps. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, and three other House members who asked for an examination of evidence that the parent organization of jihadist groups such as al-Qaida and Hama were wielding influence on U.S. policy from within.

The lawmakers were “treated like pariahs,” Levin recalled.

The talk host contended Obama’s nomination of former Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel as defense secretary is evidence that Obama himself embodies the infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood.

“You want to look into Obama’s soul?” Levin asked, then look at Hagel.

“What kind of commander-in-chief would nominate somebody like Chuck Hagel to be secretary of defense?” he asked.

“I’ll tell you what kind of commander-in-chief, the kind of commander-in-chief that arms the Muslim Brotherhood, Islamonazi regime in Cairo while he’s hollowing out the greatest military force on the face of the earth under his direct command, the United States military.”

AL JAZEERA A MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD FRONT?

Network gains U.S. foothold with purchase of Gore's Current TV
- Aaron Klein, WND

JERUSALEM – Al Jazeera, which this week announced it purchased Al Gore’s Current TV for $500 million, has a long history of close ties to and support for the Muslim Brotherhood.

Al Jazeera’s founders, themselves close to the Muslim Brotherhood, have long attempted to gain influence in the U.S., including through the financing of Arabic classes in American public schools via a Muslim Brotherhood-linked charity.

Al Jazeera this week announced a plan to establish a new U.S. cable news channel, tentatively call Al Jazeera America, utilizing the purchase of Current TV.

The Qatar-financed network is hoping to retain and even increase Current TV’s distribution rights in more than 40 million homes to broadcast its own new network.

Al Jazeera Director General Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani announced, “By acquiring Current TV, Al Jazeera will significantly expand our existing distribution footprint in the U.S., as well as increase our newsgathering and reporting efforts in America.”

Thani explained the new network seeks to provide domestic and international news for an American audience. Al Jazeera reportedly plans to open new bureaus across the U.S. and increase the network’s staff domestically to over 300 employees.

Al Jazeera has a long history of close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Yusuf al-Qaradawi, one of the top leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood, rose to fame in the Arab world after Al Jazeera gave him his a major platform. Many regard Qaradawi as the de facto spiritual leader of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood.

Qaradawi achieved star status because of his regular sermons and interviews on Al Jazeera.

The Arab news network strongly supported the revolution against former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and has taken a friendly tone toward the country’s new Muslim Brotherhood leadership.

Al Jazeera was founded with financing from the emir of Qatar, Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who previously served as the network’s chairman.

The network is still financed largely from Qatar, where its headquarters are located.

The current chairman of Al Jazeera is Sheik Hamad bin Thamer Al Thani, the Qatari emir’s cousin.

WND previously reported an Arabic language program established in several U.S. schools is funded by a Qatar group that maintains close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, while the group’s founder started the Al Jazeera television network.

Jihad in America: Grand Deception - Discussion Panel Webcast

The Grand Deception

About Film

“God is our Goal.   The Prophet is our leader.  The Quran is our constitution.  Jihad is our way.  Death in the service of God is the loftiest of our wishes.  God is great, God is great.”

This is the motto of the Muslim Brotherhood, which was founded in Egypt as a vehicle to establish a worldwide Islamic empire governed by shariah law.

The Brotherhood has transformed Islam into a political agenda, and this mix of religion and politics has become known as Islamism.  Since the Brotherhood’s founding in 1928, the Brotherhood has established a presence in more than 70 countries, and countless organizations worldwide have adopted its strategy and goals.

Today, organizations created by or inspired by the Muslim Brotherhood enjoy considerable influence within the United States.  The government, media, and law enforcement often turn to these organizations when they want the pulse of the American Muslim community.  But critics- Muslim and non-Muslim alike- say that engaging these organizations poses a danger.

According to these critics, although members of these organizations might appear to be moderate, they support an interpretation of Islam that is at odds with democracy and human rights as is commonly understood in the Western world.  Engaging these organizations bestows an undeserved legitimacy upon them and makes it easier for them to advance their secretive agenda.

The Grand Deception, a 70-minute film by the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT), traces the roots of Islamism inside the United States.  This film examines the extent of Islamist influence within the United States and highlights the danger that Islamist influence poses for all Americans.

This documentary is based extensively on primary source materials, including original Brotherhood documents and audio and video from IPT’s extensive archives.
