SPRING CITY, Utah (TheBlaze/AP) — Officials in a small Utah town want to make sure every head of household has a firearm and knows how to use it, and they want to give school teachers training with guns too.

Spring City Councilman Neil Sorensen first proposed an ordinance requiring a gun in every household in the town of 1,000. The rest of the council scoffed at making it a requirement, but they unanimously agreed to move forward with an ordinance “recommending” the idea.

The council also approved funding to offer concealed firearms training Friday to the 20 teachers and administrators at the local elementary school.

“It sends a statement that criminals better think twice,” Sorensen told The Associated Press on Tuesday. “If a teacher would have had a concealed weapon in Sandy Hook, I think the death loss would have been fewer. If sane, trained people had guns, they could have shot back.”

The measure, which will go before the full council in February for further review, seems to have the support of the council’s five members and many residents in the farming community about 90 miles south of Salt Lake City.

Beck also promised to make a series of announcements concerning his network over the course of the next 60 days, including a “global information center” headquartered in New York and the launch of international bureaus in three different cities around the world. The locations will be announced soon, and, according to Beck, the intentions behind each will be obvious once revealed.

At its core, Beck hopes to build a global news organization that values American exceptionalism, freedom and the Declaration of Independence, each of which he feels will help to bring a uniquely American point of view to international news coverage.

On the home-front, Beck also announced the launch of a new investigative news magazine titled “For The Record,” utilizing journalists to uncover the stories “no one else will touch.” He added that in the past, his documentary team is expanding to provide this in-depth coverage and that new programs will be added to daily Blaze broadcasts to keep viewers informed with fresh content throughout the day.

Beck also hopes to introduce, even if next year, the next “Nightline.” He believes that ABC recently ousted the long running evening news program because the network was not ”telling the right stories.” Thus, Beck sees a market waiting to be filled, this one in the form of a nightly half-hour broadcast on a range of topics not covered by mainstream media.

Of particular note, Beck was emphatic in telling his viewers that all of TheBlaze’s new initiatives will all be done “without the influence of special interests…kickbacks or government loans.”

“We’re in a bad economy and we expect those things to get worse,” he added.

He said that one of the main reasons he runs his company without loans or on lines of credit is because big banks are “above and beyond the law now.”

“Everything we do is possible because of the dollars you commit… You are way more than just an audience. You trust us with your money and we take that trust seriously,” Beck said.

While Beck has been told by industry and non-industry veterans that what he is trying to achieve with TheBlaze cannot be done, but he begs to differ.

When they say “there’s no way I can do what I’ve done, I tell them ‘yes there is!’”

“When you have good, smart, dedicated and creative people — people who believe in something and are willing to lose some sleep — there’s no limit to what you can do.”

BULLIES: OBAMA ADMINISTRATION SUMMONS NRA TO WHITE HOUSE

Vice President Joe Biden, who is heading up the President’s task force on gun control proposals,announced Tuesday that he would be meeting this week with the National Rifle Association, among other groups.

And his timing is just a bit suspect; the day before meeting with the NRA, Biden will be meeting with gun control organizations and shooting victims. Presumably, his welcome for the NRA will be somewhat less hearty.

The NRA, under heavy public pressure thanks to the White House’s bully tactics after the Sandy Hook massacre, said it would visit the White House to “hear what they have to say.”

This is all a dog and pony show, of course. The Washington Post has already reported that the administration wants a broad swath of gun legislation; Democratic Congresspeople proposed eight separate gun bills on the first day of the term; and Mayor Thomas Menino of Boston, who co-chairs Mayors Against Illegal Guns with nanny Mayor Michael Bloomberg, said that Biden promised him action before the end of January.

So why is the NRA visiting? Because the White House has given them no other public relations choice. President Obama has singled the group out for criticism. The White House’s media lackeys, including David Gregory of NBC News, have grilled the NRA, asking them to back off their organization’s stated mission.

P.R.A.Y. (Please Restore America Yourself) an idea whose time has come

Find a foxhole. Your president is about to declare war on you.

Have it ready before Barack Hussein Obama brings out the truncheons directly following his second inauguration.

Obama did not hightail it back to a $4-million Hawaii holiday for R&R after the fiscal cliff fiasco. Whatever is coming after inauguration is being planned against America far away from Washington, DC.

The Obama regime is on a roll. After inauguration, the most anti-American president ever elected is coming after your country for real, the main difference being that the Fundamental Transformation of America is no longer a vague theory, but is now ready for implementation.

For the observant, the signposts along an ever darkening road can be picked out. All roadblocks to the Fundamental Transformation of America have been quietly removed. The regime controls everything you see and hear, with the mainstream media in Obama’s back pocket; social networks at his fingertips. Hollywood stars, who will fill empty seats at inauguration events, now stand in for anti-gun YouTube government ads. The Republican Party has caved and spends the lion’s share of its time fighting off conservatives in the TEA Party Movement in the corners.

Resistance, as the saying goes, is futile.

With a more than 100-year-old agenda now charging full-speed ahead, ready to eclipse society, you would think that the progressives would be gleeful, but they’re not.

The first day after New Year’s, personal physical threats hit an all time high on the Internet.

Obamabots have returned to the Net to clear the path.

Millions who voted against Obama and millions who stayed home on November 6 are understandably on edge.

The world has changed and the biggest change is the regime is coming to take away a 236-year reign of freedom and prosperity.

A new underground resistance travels the fruited plain by word of mouth.

It is time to work on reversing the threat of “They’re coming to take you away” by going to ground. You don’t have to hoist a neon sign on the radar screen to show you are against the regime.

There is no need to advertise what you are doing as a member of the new ‘underground resistance’.

Form neighbourhood cells with family and friends, even if your cell is just you and one other neighbour.

If you need a name for allegiance to a loosely-knit new group that won’t cost you any money and won’t expose your name, try this one for size: P.R.A.Y. (Please Restore America Yourself).

P.R.A.Y. is based on something all freedom lovers should be doing: Pray, pray, pray.

You don’t need a church to pray, although if you are comfortable with the one you currently attend, you can pray there.

But praying at home with your family members is even better. No one really knows what goes on behind closed doors.

Comforting and convenient, praying can be done anywhere. In the farmer’s field, in your car, walking home from the bus stop.

Now’s the time to keep debilitating depression at bay. Stop watching things bound to depress you. Unplug your television. Pay the talking heads the same attention you would the bling of the upcoming inaugural ball.

Don’t fall for everything you read on the Net. Propaganda and false flag operations dominate the news of the day. Read websites with proven veracity like the Drudge Report and forward only those things you know to be absolutely true to friends on your email list.

Keep in touch with trusted email friends and out-of-town relatives daily. Help others wherever you can.

Get out of debt. Learn to get by with less. Share, even if it is only with one other person. Your grandparents survived tough times because they learned how to make do with less.

Don’t trust politicians of any political strip. It is you and not them who will do best for your families.

Ignore the hatred of any enemy who would brand you as a gun-loving racist. Besides your Creator, you, and only you, know who you really are. Spread good cheer and good will around you wherever you are. Make every day like Christmas. Live each day as if it’s going to be your last. Not because it is, but because it’s the best way to guarantee your treatment of others.

All that’s left in current reality is to hunker down and wait the regime out. Fate, including death by natural causes, catches up with dictators no matter how rich and powerful.

You are waiting to be led out of the darkness and waiting for the arrival of leaders who, although they sometimes take a long time to step forward (Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill), always emerge.

Though these days seem the worst, we have been here before in many dark chapters strewn throughout history. In the end, humanity has always come out of the darkness into the light.

Avoid at all costs falling into the hopeless abyss of “nowhere to run” when your home could be your best foxhole. Even if you live alone, you are not alone as someone is always with you.

It is to that Someone that you should pray, pray, pray.

No matter what the regime has planned; how ugly the days ahead, P.R.A.Y. (Please Restore America Yourself) will see you through.

Hollywood’s Denial and Blatant Hypocrisy on Guns

Arnold Schwarzenegger is the latest Hollywood star to chime in on guns and gun control. Like many Hollywood actors he is standing in the line marked “we had nothing to do with it” as far as personal responsibility or even tacit culpability is concerned.

Schwarzenegger has starred in films such as, “Predator,” and “The Terminator” which are loaded with gun violence. His next offering of gratuitous and graphic violence is called, “The Last Stand.” NRA’s chief Wayne La Pierre has noted that the new film is loaded with unnecessary violent depictions of a sheriff who is trying to stop drug cartels from slipping over the border.

Let’s see, the head of the Rifle Association saying there is too much violence in films while the actor paid millions of dollars to show the world the worst men can do with guns says , it just ain’t so!

Schwarzenegger claims the blame, and any chance of solving the violence problems of the nation, lies with mental health improvements, gun laws and parents. No changes are needed in Hollywood. The sainted celebrities are simply—entertaining us.

No statistics are available to show what percentage of people there are which cannot discern between fantasy and reality and those whose mental integrity, needed to categorize the real from the feigned, is below the safety line, but it is clear that Hollywood has no plans to acknowledge or accommodate such reports even if they did exist.

Does it take scientific affirmation or a statistical analysis to prove that somewhere, there is someone, who can’t tell the difference between entertainment and real life? How many people like Hinckley, Manson, Sirhan, James Holmes and Adam Lanza must we endure before Hollywood answers up and takes some responsibility for its unbridled preoccupation with violence?

The “Terminator” said “Everything has to be analyzed and no stone must be left unturned” in regards to the Connecticut child shootings. He has not included the stone that covers Hollywood, which, if uncovered, would certainly produce a mass of squirming creeping lowlife specimens darting around to avoid the light of a full blown scrutiny.

Yes, better mental health techniques would help, but as long as modern psychology can’t make the distinction between demonic activity and mental illness due to the dismissing of scripture (Mt 4: 24) and overworked separation laws, don’t hold your breath waiting for psychology to solve the problem of violence in America.

Yes, better parenting would help with the violence problems we are seeing, but most parenting today is merely providing shelter and help to get through public school. Family life where authority is established and order and discipline are normal is almost non-existent in the culture of the day.

Yes, gun control would help, but if registrations, background tests and safety instructions aren’t working then what could possibly be done to improve the laws already in place. The geniuses of today’s nervously scrambling army of liberal leaning loudmouths are thinking that if they suspend one law (2nd Amendment) they will have solved the problem. Here we see ordinary deductive reasoning pulverized by gross stupidity. Is it the increase in moral decadence and violent depictions, or the increase in legally registered firearms that is causing the problem? Here is where you may insert the proverbial ‚Äìduh!
